Gade Hanuman Vihari, another prolific batsman from Hyderabad has been named in the India Under-19 squad. He will be part of the Indian juniors team that will take part in the four-nation quadrangular tournament to be played in Visakhapatnam starting today. The other teams taking part in the tournament that will be played till October 9th are Australia, Sri Lanka and West Indies.Vihari, who turns 18 on October 13th made his Ranji trophy debut against Jharkhand during the 2010-11 season and scored 13 in his first outings. But, his best performance came in the 90-overs-aside Buchi Babu Trophy played in August this year in which he scored 97 runs 127 balls (with 10 boundaries and 2 towering sixers). Though he missed on his maiden first-class century in that match, his contribution ensured a comfortable win for the Hyderabad XI against Gujarat XI.
Vihari's highest Ranji Trophy score of 81 runs came against Madhya Pradesh playing at home. His efforts ensured Hyderabad reaches a respectable total and prevented Hyderabad from getting all out.
Lets hope Vihari brings more laurels to Hyderabad and makes progresses steadily in the world of cricket.
