Vihari dropped - Sad

Even after performing consistently Gade Hanuman Vihari _ our own super hero from Hyderabad _ has been dropped for the last league match of the Quadrangular under-19 cricket tournament being played at Visakhapatnam. Incidentally, Vihari is the second highest run-getter for India Colts behind skipper Unmukt Chand, who opened innings for the team in all the matches India played.

While Vihari scored 164 runs from 5 matches; the other Indian opener Manas Vohra scored 157 runs from  as many matches. Vihari struck two half-centuries with his highest score being 68 runs. Vihari average an excellent 54.66 runs with a healthy strike rate of 62.12 on difficult tracks.

Notable performance of Vihari came in the second match of the tournament where India Colts played Sri Lanka under-19 team. Vihari's first half century in this match ensured India overcame the stiff challenge posed by Sri Lankan bowlers. This win against our neighbors has done a great deal of good to the confidence of Indian players, who subsequently went on to win all their league matches and break into the finals.

Will will take on Sri Lanka in the final to be played on Sunday!
