Vihari shines again

Hyderabad superstar Gade Hanuman Vihari has scored second consecutive half century to lead India under-19 team to 124-runs win against West Indies under-19 team in the Quadrangular cricket tournament round robin match at Visakhapatnam on Saturday (October 1st).

Vihari, who batted at number 3 came to crease after opener Manan Vohra fell in the very first ball of the match. The dashing Vihari then joined his skipper Unmukt Chand and added 143 runs for the 2nd wicket. Vihari scored 68 runs off 88 balls with 9 hits to the fence before falling to Ronsford Rodwick Beaton.

Uttar Pradesh lad Akshdeep Deependra Nath top scored with 81 runs off 64 balls (with 4 sixes and 4 fours) to lead India Colts to 315 runs for loss of 4 wickets in 50 overs. In turn West Indies Colts were all out for just 191 runs in 43.5 overs. Star performer for India in the opening match of the tournament Baba Aparajith once again weaved his magic and claimed 4 wickets.

At the end of first round of matches, Indian Colts are leading the points table with 14 points from 3 matches. Sri Lanka with one loss against India stands second with 9 points from their 3 matches. While, Australian Colts have 5 points in their kitty with 1 win, West Indies team is yet to open its account.

The second round matches will be played at the same venues from Monday (October 3rd). And Indian Colts will take on Australian under19 team.
